PROJECT BHĀVASETU

A new path to healing for traumatised children in Dehradun

We are thrilled to announce the launch of Project Bhāvasetu, an innovative collaboration between The Arukah Project CIC and the Living Consciouslyy Foundation. This initiative aims to provide essential emotional and mental health support to children who have faced severe trauma in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.

About Project Bhāvasetu

Project Bhāvasetu is designed to serve children aged 12-15 residing in shelter homes in and around Dehradun. These children have often experienced physical, emotional, or sexual abuse, abandonment, and neglect. The trauma they’ve endured has impacted their mental health, leading many to struggle with addiction and other harmful coping mechanisms.

Through this project, we aim to provide the tools and support needed to break the cycles of trauma and pain, empowering these children to navigate the world with resilience and emotional competence.

The Arukah Project: A Trauma-Informed Approach

Founded in 2022, we focus on empowering individuals affected by trauma and addiction. Using a trauma-informed model, we integrate psychoeducation, skill-building, and somatic interventions, helping individuals heal and reintegrate into society.

Living Consciouslyy Foundation: A Commitment to Healing

Since 2019, the Living Consciouslyy Foundation has promoted emotional and mental health in India. Based in the peaceful Thano Hill Forest near Dehradun, the foundation offers a nurturing space for healing. The collaboration with Arukah in Project Bhāvasetu allows us to extend our holistic healing practices to vulnerable children in need.

Why Bhāvasetu?

The name "Bhāvasetu" translates to "Bridge of Emotions" in Sanskrit, symbolizing our mission to help children build a bridge from their past trauma to a hopeful future. Through techniques like Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Trauma Tapping Technique (TTT), and holistic care, we empower children to reclaim their mental and emotional health.

Our Vision for Bhāvasetu

In the pilot phase, we aim to support 40-60 children across three shelter homes in Uttarakhand. Each child will receive personalized care to address their unique needs and help them recover from their trauma.
